Adams Diagnostic Imaging, accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), is conveniently located inside the Gettysburg Cancer Center. Our highly trained technologists are certified through the ARRT, bringing comprehensive experience and knowledge in radiology. We provide flexible scheduling with longer time slots to better accommodate patients. Our radiology department is dedicated to enhancing the patient experience while delivering optimal diagnostic images for our board-certified radiologists to interpret.

PET/CT: Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans are the most innovative body scan technology available. They allow doctors to map the body’s metabolic processes and are used to detect abnormalities in the brain, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, as well as other types of dementia and seizure disorders. PET scans are also crucial for evaluating metastatic disease and assisting oncologists with cancer staging and treatment planning.

CT: Also known as a CAT scan, this tool provides superior internal images compared to x-rays. It visually slices the body for clear images of structures and tissues, key in cancer diagnoses and detecting other diseases affecting deep internal areas.

MRI: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) produces clear pictures of the body without using x-rays. It employs a large magnet, radio waves, and a computer to image both hard structures like bones and soft tissues like ligaments and tendons around joints.

X-Ray: X-rays are essential for visualizing broken bones and other internal structure defects. Recent advancements have reduced radiation exposure for patients and technicians. X-rays can diagnose conditions like pneumonia, arthritis, bowel obstruction, or scoliosis and may be followed by a CT scan or MRI based on the patient's condition.
